1. We are passionate about our brand of wedding photography and want to provide you with the very best service and products. Our reputation depends on it!

2. As well as offering the best quality products, we endeavour to provide the very highest level of service - right from when we first make contact with you, right to after we deliver your wedding album.

3. We are a husband and wife team who both take photographs on the day. This results in a greater choice of images for you.

4. We are not "shoot and burn" photographers. All the images you receive from us will be edited, quality checked and enhanced if required.

5. We understand the day is about you and not about us! We will not dominate or get in the way. We will always be polite to your guests and give them plenty of opportunity to get their own shots.

6. We have developed a style that provides you with both informal documentary images and well crafted and fun "formal" group shots, if these are required.

7. Techie note! We use Nikon professional camera bodies and lenses for quality, Nikon Creative Lighting System for subtle on-camera flash and dramatic off-camera flash, and video lighting for creating great atmosphere. We have the gear and knowledge to get you great images. We are Nikon Professional Services (NPS) members.

8. We carry £1M public liability insurance as well as professional indemnity insurance. A risk assessment and method statement can be provided for your venue if requested.

9. David is a qualified licenciate member (LSWPP) of the Society of Wedding and Portait Photographers and we abide by their code of conduct for professional photographers. We are also award winning members of the International Professional Photographers Network (IPPN).

10. We are full time professional wedding photographers. This is how we make our living.

11. Perhaps most importantly of all, we love what we do. We like to have fun. We get involved in the emotions of your day and we believe this is reflected in the quality of our images.

What qualifications do you have?
David is a licentiate of the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers (LSWPP).
How much time do I need to allow for wedding photography?

This is up to you and we will work around your schedule.

As a rough guide, If you allow 3 hours between the time of your service and the time of your meal, you will have plenty of time for group photos, time to meet and talk to your guests, say 30 minutes for a bride and groom photo session, and time for a receiving line. An example would be 1.00pm wedding ceremony, food served at 4.00pm.

2 hours is OK if there is no receiving line - if time becomes pressured, we can fit in a bride and groom session later.

1 hour - you may feel rushed.

Group shots do require time to organise and these are normally done immediately after the ceremony while everyone is still together. As a rough guide, allow 5 minutes for each group shot - often we are quicker, but big groups can take longer, (due to factors outside our control - location, weather and people are all factors).

Film or Digital?
We use Nikon digital SLR cameras for all wedding shoots. Digital images offer you greater choice because any photograph can be easily supplied in black and white or colour. It also means that the images can be presented online very quickly for you to view.
Will you visit the venue beforehand?
We will always ask to meet with you before the wedding and where possible, this meeting may take place at the venue. This gives us the opportunity to discuss photo locations and to understand how your wedding will run.
How many pictures will I get?
After each wedding, we edit the set of images from the day and usually end up with between 200 and 500 images depending on how long we are at the wedding. We always aim to provide you with as much choice as possible for your album. As a rough guide, a 20 page (40 sides) digi-album will typically use between 100 and 150 images.
Do you offer Video?

No, we do not directly provide a wedding videography service, however we do have a working alliance with "Real2Reel" video guys Jamie and Andrew. We are pretty confident that if you like our style of photography you will love their style of Videography. These guys are rising stars and have natrual talent, buckets of enthusiasm and a passion for making beautiful films.

Book David Golding Wedding Photography for your photography and Reel 2 Real for your video and receive a 10% discount off each price. Bookings must be made within 14 days of each other.

How far will you travel?
We love travel! We will go anywhere in the UK, normally without making an additional charge for our transport costs. If the trip involves an overight stay, we may request that you cover reasonable accomodation costs. For overseas weddings we will give you a fixed price for our travel and accomodation expenses.
Who will own the copyright to the images?
In UK and international law, the copyright in the images belongs to the photographer.  However, we are always willing to offer a licence to copy and print the images. If you would like a licence, choose "Images on CD" from our range of wedding photography options.
Do you want us to feed you?
No thank you. We would rather you used your hard earned cash to invite another guest to your reception.
When will I get my photographs?
We will put the wedding photographs onto a secure password protected website. Usually this is within 10 days of the wedding so if you can get to an internet connection you may even see them while you are on your honeymoon. Your friends and family can also see them online after you have given them the password.  Prints and albums are normally ready within 2-3 weeks of you making the final selection.
Top tips?

For the Bride:

Have a shawl or similar handy to cover your shoulders. Even in the summer it can be chilly!

If you are planning a walk on the lawn (or run through a field of wild flowers), have a spare pair of shoes with wedge or flat soles to avoid that sinking feeling.

For the Groom:

Ask your Best Man or an Usher to help us organise the group shots. Make a list of the group shots you want and who should be in each one. This will save time on the day.

How much do you charge?

Photography for a full day (from bridal preparations to after the dancing has started) starts at £1,150.00.

Photography from bridal preparations to start of the wedding breakfast is available from £950.00. Available for weddings on Sunday through to Thursday, and on Fridays and Saturdays out of season (October to March - excluding Easter).

We offer a range of wedding albums, images on DVD, and other photographic products to cater for all tastes and budgets.

I'm convinced! How do I book?
Please use the contact form on this website to enquire about the availability of your wedding date. If the date is free, we will contact you and send you a booking form. A deposit of £200.00 is required to secure the date.
