Iz and Jon at the Devonshire Dome, Buxton

by daveg on April 15, 2011

We knew this was going to be a complicated wedding for us. Starting in Buxton with the bridal party, then driving accross Derbyshire to Sheffield for the wedding ceremony, then back to Buxton for the reception in the magnificent surrounds of the Dome. So we decided to engage the services of an extra assistant – Phil Daintith – (you might remember the name, Phil helped us out at the Bridalware shoot in York earlier in the year). Phil is a published photographer in his own right. His flicker page is here.

Never work with children and animals – unless you’re a wedding photographer in which case you have no choice!

Who says bouncy castles are for kids! Well, if you can’t bounce on your own wedding day, when can you bounce?

Hats off to Jon. Takes a lot of bottle to get up in front of a hundred people and perform a folky/bluesy rendition of Outkast’s “Hey ya”. It sounded suprisingly good in the echoey and weird acoustics of the Dome.

All photography by David Golding, Diana Golding and Phil Daintith.
