The Hollin Hall Country House Hotel near Bollington in Cheshire is perfect for weddings and wedding receptions, and for your wedding photography. It is a classic and elegant Victorian building with large, high ceilinged rooms, great fireplaces and a wonderful staircase. The interior decoration is to a very high standard, and provides a classy backdrop for wedding photographs. The hotel can cater for both large and small weddings, having fifty-eight bedrooms, and it also has a great spa. There is plenty of room for all members of the family to feel comfortable, with elegant quiet lounges as a contrast to the buzzing bar area. The large function room works really well for weddings and wedding breakfasts, and transforms at night into a great dancing venue.
The hotel is set in lovely grounds, with views over the countryside and it has a very peaceful feel. It’s location, on the edge of the Peak District National Park, is perfect for anyone wanting to access the superb Cheshire/Derbyshire countryside. Activities available locally include walking routes, a number of golf courses in the surrounding area, clay pigeon shooting, riding, archery and fishing. For those wanting retail therapy, Macclesfield is not far away, with a great choice of high street shops and independent retailers. Not far away is Buxton with its wonderful Georgian and Victorian buildings and award winning Pavilion Gardens.
As wedding photographers we always enjoy visiting Hollin Hall, and particularly like the entrance to the hotel, the lounge with its great fireplace, and the very helpful staff. There is a pergola in the gardens designed with wedding photography in mind!

Carla and David were married at St. James church in Sutton, Cheshire, on a beautiful sunny afternoon in September. St. James is a lovely church, high on a hill and surrounded by the soft countryside of Cheshire. After the ceremony, it was on to Hollin Hall for their wedding reception. Hollin Hall is one of our favourite venues and is great for wedding photography.

Hollin Hall Wedding Photography
Emma is a florist at the Green Pavilion florist’s shop in Buxton, so we were expecting something special in the flowers department. We weren’t disappointed, and the bouquets and decorations were a lush mix of pink peonies, gerberas and roses, set off against the blue in the bridesmaids dresses and the room and table decorations. Hollin Hall has recently been re-decorated (red swirl carpets GONE – yee hah!) and is a great venue for wedding photography. Emma and Matt are very natural in front of the camera, and it all came together perfectly for us to get images we are proud to show here.
There is a quiet lane close to Hollin Hall, which is ideal for a quick Bride and Groom wedding photography session.
