Shrigley Hall comes complete with its own golf course and ornamental lake. It has some great aspects and views and is therefore a very nice place to have your wedding photographs taken. Only one problem, we were there on 30th December for Gaynor and Mark’s wedding, and just like pretty much all the other weddings we photographed over the Christmas period – rain! Undaunted, Gaynor and Mark ventured outside for a few quick shots before retreating to the warmth and comforts of Shrigley Hall.

We loved Gaynor’s bouquet with seasonal firs and orange(!). Her tiara was made by one of her friends.

No point in leaving a perfectly good bottle of Bucks Fizz un-drunk.

I think the bridesmaids enjoyed this bit.

The guys looking very smart and formal – well stressed actually.

I always feel very disappointed if we don’t get at least one shot of Dad holding the bouquet.

A liitle formality for the signing of the register. This was a photograph that Gaynor had specifically requested. I like it!

A little less formality on the stairs after the ceremony. Luckily there was a “Henry” handy to clean up the mess before the rest of the groups shots.

Time to step out into the rain.

The driveway at Shrigley Hall – just the place for a B&G wedding photography session in the rain.

I’ve probably said this before but if you’re thinking about hiring a classic Rolls Royce for your wedding, use Avrils Cars. They are the best. Nothing is too much trouble; they go the extra mile (literally!). Their chauffeurs will hold you umbrella if it rains and will even give the photographer a lift in the second car (which saved me from getting a total soaking).

Just time for a few more images indoors at Shrigley Hall before dinner.
